Guy with his pants' leg caught in the chain....

Hey folks..
I've been interested in getting a motor on my bicycle
for a while now, just found this forum.
When i was a kid there were still a few Whizzers around, but I got into motorcycles for many years.
Now that my second childhood is upon me, the thought of motorizing a bicycle seems like just the thing.
I've got an 18 speed cruiser with a set of hydraulic front forks that I'd
like to put a motor on. I don't know if they make one for women's bikes,
but Baby has a cool springer front end on hers and it would be nice if she
could have a motor too...
We're in Texas now, but moving to Missouri soon.
So if anyone knows about the legality of motorized bicycles there, I'd
appreciate hearing from you...

Hey Folks, thanks for the Welcome.
I've been perusing the various threads here
on the forum, viewing lot's of video's on
You Tube and checking out various suppliers
offerings in 2 stroke chain drive kits.
1. seen a lot of bikes that really inspire me.
2. read a lot of good information & tips.
3. seems that all the reputable kit dealers
are either out of the kit's that I'm interested
in or the kit has been discontinued.

Well, I'll keep on looking, calling dealers,
think about just buying pieces and cobbing
a bike together to get what I want.
Maybe it's just my age, but the old board track
bikes sure sing sweetly to me!

I got out into the barn this morning to look at my bike, it's a Huffy Arlington 18 speed.
after looking at the frame, there doesn't look like there is enough room within the frame
to mount an engine. I don't want to go with a read mounted friction drive.
So it looks like back to the starting block and start searching for a frame, forks & wheels.

the boss was talkin' a while ago about not moving...
which would be just fine by me.. I'm tired of boxing things
up and moving them.
I do appreciate the sharing that goes on here, I belong to
other forums for other hobbies and this by far is the best
group of folks.
I guess I'll have to start looking around for a frame &
various other pieces. sure wish the bike I have would have
been able to take a motor in the frame, but I guess I can use
parts off of it transplanted onto another frame. would be nice
to use the sprung front end and front wheel from it.
Anyway, will continue to be a Tejano til the boss say's different.
