is there anything i can do to my coaster brake so it would just act like a regular rear wheel without a coaster brake? or do i have to buy a whole new rear wheel

I replaced the coaster brake wheel with a mountain bike wheel i already had, so it cost me nothing and i put the crusier tire on it. It works great and all i had to do was put caliper brakes on the front fork and those were free too cause i had them laying around in my parts box.

You could just remove the brake arm on the hub that attaches to your frame and take out the two curved metal piece inside the hub that expand outward when you backpedal.
