Hi all,

I need some help.
I have two bikes in my garage. One is a Mongoose XR200 Mountain Bike, and the other is a Hurricane Upland.
I was wondering which one to motorize. Or do I have to get another bike.
I don’t think the Mongoose has a place to put the motor. And, the Hurricane has thiner wheels than the mongoose. But, the Hurricane has a steel frame. Whereas the Mongoose has aluminum frame.
Being retired and on a fixed income, I want to try not to have to buy another bike. Which I can not afford.
Also, I was wondering if there is a store in the Virginia Beach area that sells bikemotor kits.
I am going to attempt to attach the pics of my bikes.

Thanks,

Mike

There probably isn't a bike that you can't mount a engine on...In your case it will be a rack mount. If you want a frame mount, get on Craigslist.com and ask for a old bike someone doesn't want. I've picked up a few free. I like the frame mounted engines.

you could swap the wheels if you want the mongoose wheel/rims on the motor bike. In fact you could probably put that mongoose fork on the hurricane along with the disk brake.
