rear sprocket help

hello i want to make a motorized trike. i would like to run the same motor the 2 wheel bikes use that mount to the seat tube and bottom bar. but the 2 wheel bikes attach the rear sprocket to the spokes. but i have no clue how i would attach the rear sprocket on a trike please help me

HI,

What kind of trike are you looking to get?....

There are two basic mounting methods that would probably be the easiest...

One involves mounting the sprocket via an adapter to the rear axle (assuming a live axle)

The other involves mounting the sprocket to one of the wheels using the factory rag joint and mounting the engine in such a way that it drives that wheel.

There may be other methods BUT I think one of the above should work.
