I was riding the other day an my throttle handle broke.

Has this happened to anyone before?

I got a new one already.

Was wondering if anyone has a better way instead of that plastic?
Thanks

It's not uncommon for those cheap plastic throttles to brake. Mine lasted a whole 5 minutes before it broke. I now use a brake lever as a throttle and it works great.

Good Luck,

I broke the little nipple off on the underside when mounting. So I just drilled it out and stuffed a large screw in instead. It's a bit annoying since the screw is about 2.5 in long, but it works.

Mine didn't break, but it was so sloppy I couldn't stand it. I replaced it with an all metal minibike style throttle and never looked back. Only problem with that was I had to rig up a stand alone kill switch, since the minibike throttle didn't have any buttons built in. No biggie though, and I feel much better with the metal throttle....

I've never had a single failure of a throttle. Being plastic they are easy to break if not installed with care.
