I like the looks of the creame colored Schwalbe fat franks but they only come in a 2.35 width. I've got 2.125's on my schwinn and theres only a 1/4" clearance at most to the pedal chain. The drive chain side has a good 1/2" clearance. Any way I could use em, or am I stuck with the size I've got?

You can 'dish' the wheel over just a little by loosening all the spokes on the pedal side 1/2 turn & tightening the spokes on the other side 1/2 turn!
Start at the valve stem & work your way around the wheel one side at a time.

You can also gain a little by adding a large washer in between the crank sprocket & the bearing race that holds it onto the cranks.
Don't add too much or the pedal might hit the engine on the other side!

You can try just putting the tire on first to see what happens. According to your numbers it is .225" larger than the current tire. That means it will be .1125" larger on either side. It might just barely clear the pedal chain.

also possibly a wider spindle might help you can find them for about 10 bucks on ebay if they arent the sealed bearing type
