Primer for aluminum frame?

Hi. I obviously dont need rust protection on this my first project, so i'm searching for the best primer out there when it comes to keeping the future paint on the bike. I have axess to an airbrush machine.

i can't give you the name of a specific primer, but I do know it would have to be an etch primer or else it simply won't adhere to the metal.

It isn't so much what you plan to primer but what you will spray on top of it. The primer and the base/color coat must be compatible. Mixing brands or types of primer/paint isn't a good idea. Aluminum doesn't require anything special unless you're into aviation fabrication where corrosion would be a concern. For a bicycle, just match the products and you'll be good to go. Read the labels of the product you select and follow their recommendations.
