It turns out that Raulley, HBLOCAL and his bro were waiting for us at Main St by the Pier.
LOL No one told me so we blew by down to a parking lot at Beach,

HBLOCAL's brother caught up to me while we were having fun with the HB
motor officer.
He was pedaling only on one of their classic Felt builds. The cop said he needed a plate and red rear reflector if he had of been motoring.

LOL, wouldn't be the first time. Actually he was showing off his favorite Huskie hat. Also was wearing a very nice Belstaff jacket.

Dennis, thanks again for providing your very professional chase truck.

Hope you get your plate and can ride with us next time.

In about 6 weeks we will be having a ride starting in Huntington Beach then riding down PCH
through Newport beach to Crystal Cove.

I am giving out lots of notice so you can get all legal with your plate and M extension
on your drivers license.

living the dream in southern california
that's DOT helmets, and visible license plates. if you can add some lights and a mirror, even better, even if you have to tape them on. and definitely get at least an M1 or M2 permit (it's the same thing.)

Newport and HB are too cool to cruise through to let the man put us down.

TAKE BACK THE STREETS!

Just a reminder that a DOT helmet is the law in California and the
ticket for not wearing one will cost you a LOT more than a high
quality legal DOT or even better a Snell helmet.

The Newport Beach and downtown Huntington Beach ride will need one
and if you want to have the most fun you have ever had with your
clothes on you are definitely going to need one.
LOL

Yes, I have very exciting news to be announced soon!

Please don't don't waste your money on those funny looking bicycle
helmets, skate helmet or a fake DOT as they are not going to let
you play with us.

I am seriously considering upgrading to a full face Snell helmet. Too
bad my old classic Simpson helmet rotted from old age.

I have my $19 MO ready to send in when I figure out which bike is
getting the Honda 50 so i can get my plates. It takes a while so
now is the time.

Baird can tell you how great it feels to be totally legal and not have to
worry about getting stopped with tickets and fines. Just smile and drive
on by......I am not really big on waving lol

Not wearing any helmet puts a ticket target like a bright neon sign
right on your back. Wearing the wrong helmet does the same in some
areas in CA.

PS: I hope none of you got hit too hard with tickets from the ride. I
am not too sure who all the 2nd motor officer pulled over.
Please post here or PM me if you don't want the info out there.

Hi Ray.
The other Huntington Beach motor officer let me off for no plate too
and no red rear reflector.
I got my plate today. It took 3 weeks and they are up to C036,XXX
My plate number C036969 could have been a vanity number LOL
I am going to cut all four sides down on my metal shear to make it a
little smaller.

So the PCH Huntington Beach through Newport Beach to Crystal Cove
will be happening. It is a great ride down the coast and a cool ocean
breeze will hit the spot....Crystal Cove is beautiful. We went down there
a while ago to check it out and saw a large male bobcat casually trotting
down the bike path like he owned the place. Lot's of rabbits, quail and
road runners.

Only 18 days to the Willow Springs so I doubt if it will happen until after
the event and race. Still gotta finish putting my Honda GXH 49.4 cc on
a Jag with that plate.

Thanks for the ride on your very clean Whizzer at El Dorado park. Felt
like it was just loping along at over 30 mph. I do like 4 stroke motors.

Are you coming to Willow Springs?

Here are a few pics of our bike ride at Crystal Cove
taken from the north end.
Costs $15 to get in with a car but a bicycle or even a
motorized bike is free.

Lots of pelicans going up and down the coast near dusk.

Hi bimoped, and thanks i should have let you open it up on PCH. maybe next time. Ray
Thanks, that would be great!
Whizzers are a nice ride. I got to ride a Whizzer around the track at
Willow Springs which was a lot of fun. Your bike was faster though.

Thinking about doing the "All Legal" ride down PCH starting in
Huntington Beach down through Newport Beach all the way to
Crystal Cove in early August.

What date works for you guys?

As long as you let me ride it.......lol Whizzers are a lot of fun.
msrfan wants to go on the ride down PCH to Crystal Cove with
his hotted up Briggs bike.

I hope that anyone else who wants to ride got or is getting their
license plate and has a DOT helmet.
