Hey everybody,
I just thought I would tell you something I tried and have been doing for as long as I had my motorized bike. Do you still use the stock carburetor air filter?? I figured because I cant afford one of those fancy air filters and kinda like the simplicity of the stock air cover I would try to use sponge! I now use sponge all the time with great results, just plain old Dollar Store yellow sponges with the scrubby part removed. Best thing to do though is to make sure that gasoline doesn't burn or melt if you are concerned and just make sure you are able to breathe through it as well. That's it, its worked great for me and surely is an upgrade from that crappy stock one. It keeps much more dirt out of the engine and when it does get dirty just throw it away and cut a new one. Anyways hope that someone else will benefit from my discovery, Thanx and have fun!
