if you just switch from a 80 to a 100 with out altering your rear gearing your going to lose ALOT of top end. and why buy a new pulley, just take your bearing to a local welder or welding shop and ask him to throw a couple tacks on it, should only cost 5 bucks or a 6er of beer

I run a 100t pulley with a 36t rear sprocket and 26" inch wheels
I have ok acceleration, good crusing and good top end

I also had to weld the sprocket, the engine now does some of the breaking.
It makes a good sound on the de acceleration on a straight pipe brnot

I agree, engine braking makes an awesome sound with my baffled straight tail pipe. Now I'm going to have to make a video showing that sound.

when you guys refer to 100 or 80t you mean at the tranny to engine right? thats one ratio but isnt your final determined by what sprocket you hang off the 100 or 80t output?

no the drive ratio is your transmission ratio and the output to rear sprocket ratio
going from the 100T to the 80T will take that ratio from 5:1 to 4:1 the thing is you need a certain amount of gearing to make it work
