What is the best way to remove the crankshaft extention that the variable driver pulley and starter timing belt pulley are mounted to? I tried to wedge a piece of hardwood between the flywheel and the curved part of the block under the flywheel and then using a pipe wrench on the splines of the shaft to loosen it, but no dice. I am supporting the shaft and wrench with one hand while appling pressure with the other so as not to bend the shaft, all though it already has a nice wobble in it.
It's screwed into the end of the crank with regular right handed threads - lefty, loosie - right?
Also, is the flywheel keyed to the crank and is it a tapered fit?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.
