They're calling it a valveless pulse jet which in effect
is really a ram jet. They really don't start to be efficient
until the hit 500 mph..fly

Ah you're a game one; not so sure I'd care to get my tail
scorched on that thing.

Oh that's brilliant Otero :D There could be a avatar change about to happen.

I love the poster art for bicycles and motorcycles from the early years of last century. There's a quality about them that I wish the creators of modern day advertisements would learn something from.

I found two better avatars, but they only give you one change
I guess. My initial choice was too dark. I grabbed the mammoth
because it showed up well. I had considered another one for you
but it was a tad bit too intrepid. Dare I load it?

Well anyway,
I don't think I'll quite get that sort of crowd approval
when I ride by. It probably wouldn't have shown up well
if they'd let me use it as an avatar.

Say,
If you're into some really great cycling videos, here's a site you
may or not be aware of. ' WorldCycling Videos on Vimeo'. Most
are far more interesting than those I've found here,(sry Motorized Bikes).
They have more than a 1000 from everywhere except Antarctica,
( though I might have missed one.).
I mentioned the 'Tour Divide' A while back.(Banff to Mexico). Near
the top of page 2 they show a bit of the route in New Mexico, but
there are many others further back. The New Mexico stretch is a
little bland, fairly flat desert terrain where the jackrabbits need to
carry a lunch. Most of the route is through mountains on trails &
back roads.
If you haven't already, you've really gotta check out this site.
There are some really phenominal adventures to be found.
