It's official... We're hosting another big Venice Beach motorized bicycle ride this Saturday 11/23/13

If you're near Los Angeles?, we will meet at the Venice pier at 10am & ride at 11am sharp! (We will be riding south to Manhattan Beach pier & back).

Bring a helmet & a bike lock if you want to ride with us. (^)

Well I made it to The Shack and everybody was there. Then it was off to the next stop and everybody left me eatin' dust. Then I went to start my engine and it just wasn't my day. I lost all spark to my motor. Went home 8 miles on electric power only. Changed spark plugs and it started right up. Stuck the Autolite Racing plug that originally would not spark at The Shack and the engine started right up. I did reposition the spark plug wire as far from the exhaust as I could and that's what started the motor up. I don't get it.

Sorry to hear about the spark problem. Also sorry I didn't get a chance to chat about your cool hybrid bike. I was helping Soporn with some tools and you were talking to other people, so I figured I would catch you at the Manhattan Beach Pier.

Yeah no problem. I gotta a new 97cc engine with a new GX 160 carb and then I stuck an new Autolite 3910x spark plug in there. I'm not used to any of those things yet. I've never not been able to start any motor mounted on bike. It was a first for me. I was stupified. I sat for a half hour at The Shack yanking on the pull card until my arm gave out. LOL

Where are all the pics and videos at that I was all ready to take? LOL

I had front and rear GoPro mounts ready to go.

I also just replaced my GX 160 main carb jet with a GX 120 main carb jet to correct a Wide Open Throttle studder after I limped home today from The Shack. It seems to have worked.

What does DTM stand for? Those guys had some really awesome bikes, I especially liked the stretch cruiser with the twisted chrome fender struts and all the mirrors. Super nice guys, really fun to ride with.

It seems that Facebook requires you to log in to view it. I've never had, do not now nor ever will have a Facebook account.

The owner of The Shack came out and saw that I was the only one left in the parking lot. He asked me if I needed "a push". I told him yeah that would be great. I told him I only lived 8 miles away and if he could push me that far that I'd be eternally grateful. Needless to say I didn't get that push.

Thank you Norm! The whole page was a really good read. The turn out for your ride was awesome! Bikes, bikes, bikes as far as the eye can see.
Also, that was the first 4 stroke twin Hodaka that I have ever seen. Hodaka never made 4 strokes...
I still miss my '68 Ace100. :(
