Neil, thanks for taking the time to address these issues.
personally i would rather take the pedals and cranks off my h2o morini. They are only there to satisfy the 'rules' maybe they should be optional?
about the girl on the moped, I was thinking the same about her, "at least she had a full face helmet on"
No, you gotta have the pedals. :) It's the #1 rule.

I have talked to Chris about this and I thought he was bringing a pedal
equipped moped and his power is over the limit too.
Chris is a really cool guy and he totally gets what we are doing but he
is really busy and didn't have the time to get another "legal" moped together
for the race.

I just blew it yet again by not giving the trophy to nashmoto and announcing
Brian as the first place 11 hp gas bike at the prize ceremony.

Stuff happens! :D

I will revise the Final results when I get some time later today.
You still only came in 4th though so you don't nothing except
bragging rights!. :D

If you see anyone doing dangerous stuff to themselves or others
at the track do something about it or say something to me and I
will handle it.
I can't be everywhere and see everything, it is a group effort to
run these races and make sure that there are no disasters and
that nobody gets hurt.

If you see a rider that is really drunk or messed up let me know
because I am NOT going to tolerate behavior like that which will
really put an end to our races!

Thank you Steve and gimme a call sometime you busy guy.

Is it fair that the other racers don't to the practice lap and go on the track at the last minute and get a good starting position on the starting line? I saw it at Saturday.
Dave, that was the plan and we scored the heats for that reason.

Volunteers is the answer so next time please give me a hand to make it
work right. :)
Every race at the riders meeting we ask for volunteers. We got lucky
this time and Turkman really did a great job helping run the flagging.

Most of the guys that should have been on the front row were.
There were a few guys that sneaked in........

It was a Fun race and I really don't think it changed much overall.

Maybe we should do a Le Mans style running start? :D

i recall hearing "the two stroke china class is pretty much exclusive..." over the PA right before the main, so what was up with the guy on the moped in a tshirt and jeans, with no safety gear other than a helmet running in our class?

i had to push him into the dirt to get him outta my way...

you stood right next to me as the moped guys went racing up and down the pits, then walked away. about a half hour later, you announced on the pa for everyone to slow down.

overall, i think this was the least fun race i've been to.

i had more fun racing in the rain...

and "group effort?"

hah...

I think I understand this complaint. What if a race day consisted of two mains instead of heats and a main? That way there are double the races in a season, and all the races mean something.
You have to be there in person to really get it.......
Done 5 races already and it has been evolving since June 2011.

A lot of the bikes would not survive two 12 lap finals!!! :D

There is no time too, there are only so many hours in a day at
the track and it's a helluva workout racing 12 laps even when
it's only 80*

The guys who come to the races are welcome to put their input
in and they have. I am listening..........

Again what's the meaning of heat races? Next time ill just practice so I can get my bike tuned up and just race the main so I can save the engine.
Yeah.....heat #1 I placed second against a Noped (I was 1st in the gas bikes) and I won the #2 heat race! Shouldn't I get pole position or am I just putting additional unnecessary wear and tear on my race engine for nothing?

It wasn't until the Main (finals) that I broke 2 rear spokes that put me out of contension for a win. Should I just race the main event? Perhaps, but anything can happen at anytime.....

That's racing.

I had the most fun on my morini even though I finished mid pack, it's getting faster every race. I've been so busy that my pedal and cranks fell off.

It was supposed to be an exclusive race and will be in the future.

He snuck into the back of the start and he wasn't causing a problem
with the fast pack of the leaders so what did you want me to do?

Black flag him? and possibly cause a lot of confusion? Get the wrong guy
off the track like what happened at your race when Jim Rust got flagged
off by mistake?

No thank you, he wasn't in your way and you were way behind the fast
guys, so why do you really care?

I don't sweat the small stuff at the races cause it's a fun event and if
some incident isn't causing a problem I just roll with it. :)

I saw the guy out there and said what how the **** did he get in there
and laughed, he wasn't fast and if he had of been challenging the race
leaders I would have got him off the track.

Stuff happens at the races like I keep telling ya. :)

i had to push him into the dirt to get him outta my way...
Sounds like an unsportsmanlike and maybe dangerous maneuver.

Is that why you didn't win?

OK, but were are you going to put your feet? Dangle them in the air?

laff laff
I know that you are a busy guy cause you never answer the
phone or call me back. :D

If your pedal fell off at the race you could still race and wouldn't
be disqualified. laff

The rules are flexible and that would be an easy decision that no
one would challenge I hope.

Yes indeed Steve, that Morini is plenty fast! Had a great time dicing with you lap after lap for 3rd and 4th place. And to think I almost pulled off the track when my bike started bucking and jerking like a horse in the rodeo.

It was 10 times the fun battling with you than pulling off and getting a DNF. Thanks for the excitement, you're a great contender (your bro Dave too)!

See ya in da pits.....

I forgot about that, I'm going to do the same
Don't be like that......

You #8 were 2nd to last and last in the 11 hp heats so you should
have been in the back and you didn't run the 2nd 2 stroke class heat.
What are you complaining about? :)

We are using the heat races to determine the starting order
and my new patented and copywrited scoring system worked
really well saving the scorers a lot of aggravation.

Yes that's it. Niel I see your post earlier but it's hard to do that editing on a iPhone.

Just my suggestion, do it AMA motocross style. Instead of 2- 30 minute main + 2 laps and whatever you place would give the average and what you placed in the race.
Do it 2 races of 12 laps each race then take the average in your placement and that's what you finished. No practice lap, you should have already practiced. Just flat out go to the starting line and race. You'll still get your money's worth.
This would also eliminate someone cheating the system & not take a practice lap and get a great starting position. It would also force everyone to race all heat races if they want to place.

yeah, you shoulda black flagged the guy. not only because he wasn't supposed to be on the track, but he had no safety gear!

you say "stuff happens." what are you gonna do when you let someone on the track without gear and they get hurt? laugh as he gets airlifted out of the middle of nowhere?

and yeah, he did slow me down. i don't care if i was 5 laps down, i was there to race, not play tag with mopeds.

and the incident with jim rust had nothing to do with me. spectators were warning him about the dirt on the track. they didn't have flags and they weren't volunteers. he thought they waved him off, so he pulled off.

speaking of jim, earlier that day he was practicing without elbow pads, and i DID wave him off, gave him some pads to wear, and everyone was happy.

i also made sure the heats counted towards the line up in the main. going so far as to tell the first place finisher in heat one that he'd be in the back if he didn't race heat 2.

you go on and on about safety, about how the grange is the most technical track, about how you've never done anything to mess with mine or dave's races, you sell prizes you don't give out on craigslist, and you don't even have a ****ing bike.

everyone is finally starting to see how full of **** you are.

This was the front row of the final?

See`anyone that didn't belong or anyone that should have been up there?

Did they all take the warm up lap? If I remember correctly the 2 at the very top in blue did not. If I'm wrong then sorry but I do recall them sneaking in during half way into the warm up lap. I was at the staging area when I was questioning myself what are they doing. Then it made since.

you can cross me off your list and give away number 33. i never want to have anything to do with you again.

BS, who was it and what was the prize?

I have no idea who you are talking about and what prize
because it simply is not true.

Accuse me of selling prizes and you better back it up or retract it
and apologize publicly!

Back it up or retract this really distasteful and false accusation!

Paul changed my name from BiMoped to MotorBicycleRacing at my request after
I was unbanned and so what????? It ain't no big secret. :D

if i'm wrong, i apologize. i believe what i was told, but i'm not dragging anyone else into it.

nice message, by the way. you really have a way with words...:)
Very nice, YOU ARE A LIAR.

Say it because I see you back pedaling really fast. :)

Baird sent me a text saying that I sold an expansion chamber prize from
Arrow but Dave never gave me ANY prizes and I was gonna buy them
wholesale from Dave and sell them but it never even happened.

I have never even had my hands on one of them or sold one.
way to go baird!!!

I am waiting for a heartfelt apology from Baird.
Damn, what drama, I gotta go to work! :D
