My rear hub has been rattling like a can full of rocks so I decided to take it apart again and really go over it. The model is Falcon CF-(5/6)10. The stamping is bad and I'm not sure what the number is, but the design is very similar to a Shimano E-type. Anyway when I cleaned everything out I noticed for the first time that the inside diameter of the hub is smaller on one side than it is on the other. I am getting a bad feeling that when I took the hub apart to grease it while I was puting the bike together for the first time that I may have reversed the axle. So my question is on which side do the brake pads go? The larger diameter side or the smaller diameter side? Enquiring minds want to know!

Also it will usually only go together w/ the shoes on the correct side, however it is possible to put the shoes in backwards.
How'd your wheel build go?

I have learned to always take them apart from the (bicycle) sprocket side, and lay them out in an "exploded view" format on your workbench.
