my china girl is down and has been for a while because i lost
the tiny ball. i know there is a thread with a link on where to
buy it, but i would like to know the size so i can buy a few of
them, and maybe locally. its the bearing (steel ball whatever) that
the pin pushes on to activate/deactivate the clutch. i ended up actually losing the pin,
then after a week i found it.i went to put the pin in and it went
right in, to the point it should be fun to get out. thats when i realised
i lost the ball. im thinking its maybe 1/4 inch, not sure.
thanks in advance guys, any links on how to grease this area properly
would be swell also, i think the bottom of the clutch arm is wearing
considerably.
cheers.

Put a dab of quality grease inside the hollow shaft, followed by the ball, followed by another dab of grease, followed by the pin (called a bucking bar).
Wipe off any grease that may squish out and put a dab of grease on the tip of the bucking bar .

The clutch arm will pull out of the cover by turning it until the flat machined into it lines up with the retaining pin. After it lines up the arm and cam will slide out of the cover. Clean the hole in the cover and the cam well with mineral spirits, kerosene, or diesel fuel. Get all of the grit and old grease out. Dry the parts and grease the cam and hole and re install the cam and lever into the hole, lining up the flat with the pin to let the cam slide all the way down into the hole.
