Thanks for the kind words. I'm doing this build (my first) over the course of the winter and just taking my time. I have a ways to go before I can fire up the engine and find out how it sounds. I did take a short pedal powered ride a few days ago and it feels nice. I look forward to making an exciting post about my first powered ride. Probably in a few more weeks. The sound is one of things I am most curious about myself as well!

Various members of the forum have called the sound "a pissed off chain saw"......"bees in a can"...."blender set on puree"...LOL !

I am back from the dead, a lot has changed since I started the project. So it has been sitting untouched since I posted this. I would like to get back started on this project and would like to know what the best way would be to mount the motor to the front. I can't for the life of me figure it out.

In regards to the muffler I am going to put it in a vice once I mount the motor and find the proper bend for it.
