HI Guys,

The dilemma of running small sprockets on a Manic Mechanic Hub Adapter has been solved!

Here is a cut and paste description that was uploaded to our You Tube Channel today....We will be updating our website shortly.....Other than those 2 places you are hearing about it here first! ;-)

To help those interested in seeing the video here is the link (if it does not work you can find the video under our you tube channel for :kingssalesandservice)

---------

Kings Sales and Service is proud to introduce "Sombrero" - A new version of its now famous Top Hat Sprocket Adapter which is designed to allow Manic Mechanic hub adapters to run sprockets smaller than about 35T.

NOTE: Because the manic Mechanic hub adapters run 3/8" bolts on a large 3 5/8" bolt circle, the choice of running smaller diameter sprockets was severely limited....The Sombrero Top Hat Sprocket Adapter (named so because the width of the "brim" is somewhat larger than the standard "Top Hat" making the hat look similar to a Mexican Sombrero) allows the use of sprockets much smaller than would otherwise be possible when using the manic Mechanic Hub Adapters alone.

The ability to use smaller sprockets on the Manic Mechanic hub adapters greatly benefits users looking for higher speeds, more relaxed cruising RPMs and riders using bikes equipped with smaller wheels which need the smaller sprockets to make up for the smaller diameter wheels.

Thanks to Stewpedassle for having us look into building this new product....Looking forward to any and all user feedback to help refine this new product / variation on our tried and true Top Hat Sprocket Adapters.

NOTE: pic 1 shows top view of Sombrero VS Top Hat , Pic 2 is bottom view , pic 3 Shows how sprocket mounting bolt mounts attach (center bore made intentionally large to clear most any hub....small amount of "break through" will not affect structural integrity.

Hi MotorBicycleRacing,

The price for the Sombrero Top Hat Sprocket Adapter is the same as our original Top Hat Sprocket Adapter......$37.50 directly off our web page or $42.50 off eBay.

I posted a few pics in the original post (I had to learn how to resize the pics because the original ones were too big for the forum).

Thanks for your interest in our products.

Have you guys ever made any 38t sprockets for the manic/pirate adapters? I've had a 40 and it revved too much and I have a 36 now and it just seems that maybe a 38 would hit right in the best part of the range.

Re: NEW PRODUCT: Sombrero Top Hat Sprocket Adapter (use w/ Manic Mechanic Hub Adapter

HI,

We can make a 38T sprocket for the Manic Mechanic Hub Adapter....If you would like to order this sprocket you can go to our web page to place the order.....However, please note: if you do order there PLEASE be sure to mention in the Pay Pal notes to seller section that it is for the Manic Mechanic Adapter so we can make the correct sprocket for you.....If nothing is specified, we will make the normal 9 hole mount sprocket.

As a side note we can make any size sprocket from 10T to about 124T...of course if you get too small with the Manic Mechanic Adapter you will have to use our new Sombrero Top Hat Sprocket Adapter to run the smaller tooth counts.

Hope this helps you.
