Hi there

I have put together all the parts of a chinese 70cc kit, but have found that the rear wheel locks up moves. With the spark plug removed it rotates, but as soon as it goes back on then the same problem occurs.

What should I do? any help/advice/suggestions hugely appreciated.

Cheers!!

Sounds like a clutch issue, Is the clutch working properly?
Take off the clutch cover, pull in the clutch and make sure it is working.
It may need adjustment.

Tighten your clutch cable. Most new builders underestimate the amount of force required to disengage the clutch on a Chinese 2 stroke. The cable needs to have no slack when engaged. Here is a great tutorial on proper clutch adjustment.

Just a word of advice. DO NOT start adjusting the 'flower nut' or disassembling the clutch until you have assured that the cable has been installed and adjusted correctly.
