Finally got my bike to start today. Yay!
But it is constantly accelerating at max speed when it starts and the throttle doesn't do anything to slow down or stop it. I took out the throttle assembly, put it back together multiple times and it still is stuck in max accelerating mode. What must I do? Thanks in advanced..

sounds like your slide is sticking in the carb. take the air filter off and look inside the carb. twist the throttle and make sure the slide moves all the way up and all the way down.

the slide has a groove in it that needs to line up with a little brass pin in the carb. if it's in crooked, it won't move.

also, check the throttle cable and make sure it's seated in the top of the carb all the way, and that it's got no kinks or harsh bends in it.

As Bairdco says, check the slide in the carb. Be sure it travels up and down when you turn the throttle grip, if it's wide open (and doesn't move) you've definately found the problem.

how do i take the air filter off? picture maybe? im not good with words
There is a good chance that your bike is over revving because
you have a air leak where the carb slides over the intake tube.

If you apply full choke when you engine is running it should kill it.
If your bike keeps running and doesn't die then you have a air leak.

Get a O ring and put it in the throat of your carb so it seals the end
of the intake tube. Push on the carb as you tighten the screws so
the O ring is compressed a bit and makes a good seal.

I had once had a guy complain that his new motor wouldn't run and it
turned out the problem was that he had some 420 then made a new
exhaust gasket but the 420 caused him to forget to cut the hole in
the gasket for the exhaust so it was totally blocked which makes it
impossible for the motor to start. :D
