Thought I would inquire before I remove the carb and begin the search. Finished installing GT-4 w/the NT carb. What a blast! I feel like a kid again. Fired right up the first try w/a 10ft roll.
Anyhow, it's been running just fine for less than 50 miles total thus far. Usually the choke can be turned off within 30 seconds. Today it took longer and now it won't run with the choke off. It will die even at cruise if I turn it off. It needs at least half to full choke to run. Added fuel filter during install. Looks clean. Would I be correct in that full choke to run would indicate it's getting too much air from somewhere?
Vacuum leak?
Thanks

with the motor running spray carb cleaner or wd-40 around the intake gasket and where the carb meets the intake. if the idle changes, you have an air leak. Usually it's the other way around and the motor will run with the choke on, but who knows.

I don't use a gasket on my motor, just high-temp RTV sealant. Also a little dab of RTV where the carb meets the intake.
