40mph on a china girls is not what they're meant for. You'll end up blowing an engine or crashing a bike spectacularly. Try to be reasonable with your expectations. If you're looking for power try an expansion chamber and ported reed valve for more high end.

My engines seem quite happy at 40 MPH.
Any faster and I feel I'm pushing them a little hard.
That's with a 36t sprocket, port work and a pipe.
Reed is unlikely to give you more top end.

Ditto....... my fastest bike will cruise nice at 40-42mph and Im plenty happy with that, Im however gonna try a 30T sprocket on that bike in place of the current 36T to reduce m cruise speed RPMs, with a 36T it pulls my local inclines very good and I know Ill loose some of tha hill climbing ability with the 30T but if it will reduce rpms a few hundred at my 40-42mph cruise speeds that will make it more comfortable to ride and be less wear and tear on the engine.
All this is on my Kulana Moon Dawg bike and it is a real pleasure to ride.....
