Ok I dont know much about how electric works, but here's what I need to know...
I'm running an old school Schwinn generator lighting system... the kind that runs off friction from the tire... and I know that running at higher speeds than typical bicycles were meant to will cause the bulbs to blow out.
Is there any kind of resistor or regulator or something that will limit the amount of juice that goes to the bulbs?
I understand that adding a fuse will protect the bulbs, but I would like something that will fix, not hide the problem. Thanks.

If you are handy with electronics you can make a regulator. Radio Shack sells the little bits to make it happen.
I don't know of any pre-made ones that will work with your particular lights.

the tire friction ones suck.. dont waste your time get a 6 volt motor cycle battery on ebay.. for 10 bucks mount it with a switch and run your wire and 6 volt bike lights only way..

i make mine with 12 volt lipo pack 3000 mah and a zener diaod that when it goes under 6.8 volts the light will stop working to save the lipos.
