Hello out there, Starting my first build. I found two donor bikes, purchased both already ( prices were too good to pass up).... Just need to make a decision on which one to use.

Jamis Earth Cruiser : from the early 80's , looks to be in great shape , chrome is good , orig logos and tires, welds are strong.

Kulana Moon dog : A basic walmart bike , but looks good and in great shape as well, not sure though how strong these frames are... seen the threads that people have posted using them and they seem to work well.

I would rather use the Jamis for its simplicity and strong frame, but this bike is worth around $100 in this good condition. I could sell it and use the money to build the Kulana. The threads on here seem to push that using a better bike to build on is worth it....

Should I take the risk and build the Kulana and save money? or build the Jamis and spend a little more but have a better frame ???

anyone ? Bueller ? anyone .....

I honestly cannot recall Kulana breaking but I don't think there is as many out there. The Kulana is a plug and play bike the 2 smoke china goes into those like they are meant for them. They offer a huge space in the frame for a built in tank too. Other than me being about 6 foot 3 I think that particular bike is truly to small for me. I love the way that bike looks to me personally.
