You talking about a bone stock engine?
Just like with any engine, your RPM potential will depend on many different things.
one of my stock engines would get even close to 8000-8500
the engine I was running on my bike that hit 50-52 mph only hit about 8950 to maybe close to 9000 and it had several mods and that was with a 30T sprocket on a 24" wheel.
honestly Im thinking most stock engines are in the 6500 - 6800 rpm range based on how all the unmodified engines Ive had ran.
Of course we also know that all HT engines aren't equal and some will do better than others.
Maybe you fellas down under are getting better engines out of the box than we are here.....
