I am joey, and I am having a couple of issues with by new motorbike kit before I even have it running. for one thing, I have no idea what size my chain is so I don't know what kind of chain tool to use on it. I will be here trying to get help with many problems in the future, I think, but hope not.

cool

bye

replace the chain with#41. orig. is trash and will cause you trouble. if you have to use the tensioner, keep an eye on it. have you changed out nuts and bolts? read a bunch.

Hi Joey, welcome. To shorten the chain, I literally use a piece of wood with a hole, a punch and a nail in a pinch. They have a spot in the tool box, just for them. Never got around to buying the proper sized tool. They are about 30 bucks at shops here and am sure they are much better then my back yard method. But works fine albeit more time consuming.

Great to meet ya
