everything on my motorized bike is working EXCEPT.. when the motor kicks in, twisting the throttle does nothing. the engine will run until the bike slows down enough that the engine dies. when twisting the throttle it stays where ever i set it and it does not spring back like i think it is supposed to. do i need a new throttle? and if so, how do i detach the throttle from the carberatur??

Woops, mis read.

It can be your barrel sticking, and it can be your cable housing. One thing you can do is shoot some graphite lubricant, teflon lubricant, or even some WD down the cable housing. As well, make sure there are no pinches.

For it dying, adjust the idle with the screw on the side.
