Thanks guy's

I have had it up to 40 mph and still had a little left and it handles
real nice, this is to fun.I normaly ride around 20 to 27 mph so not to
atract to much attension. I have about 250 miles on it now and the
police don't even bother me, I give them a wave and a smile and off
I go brnot.

I switched out the fork to an old triple clamp I had because I did not like
the way the other fork flexed. I will be changing out the front
brake from a 6" to a 8", other than that I can't think of anything
else I would change.

I had 2 problems that I had to repair.

1. The Bung King gas cap spits fuel out the breathe hole.
I fixed that buy drilling and tapping the cap for a 10-32 cap screw.
then I drilled a hole in the center of the cap screw . I installed an o-ring
and screwed it in from the bottom and locked it on with a washer and nut
on the top, then istalled a breather tube.I did not like how big the
barbed fittings were.

2.I am having problem with the jack shaft waring were the bearing
contact the shaft. I am running Timken bearings now so I am hoping the
new shaft fits the bearings tighter.

Hi Velodrone thanks.

Tha Pavillians are about 45 miles or more from my house ,I live in Chandler
off of Riggs. I think it would be fun but I donot know if my
rear end could make it that far so soom, But I would like to meet up
to check out your bike .

Hi Bill

Thanks , Your streached Cruiser is sweet , Have you finished
the swap? If so how is the drive system working out?

I have a to install a hardened jack saft and fix a slow leak in the rear tire
then its back to riding!!

Hi Bill

I have a few question for you about you build.

How do you like your Q-matic?

Have you riden a bike with a jackshaft and if so what is the differance
between the two?

smother take offs?

Any vibrations?

Thanks Bill

I have never ridden a bike with a jack shaft, so I have nothing to compare it too, sorry

the q-matic works very well for my application (lots of hills and heavy trailer)

my large rear sprocket (72t) makes for smooth take-off and quick acceleration

since I added a brace from the engine to my canti-bars, the most vibes are at idle

if you ever get out FH way, lemme know and take mine for a test ride ;)

Yup you have a few hill out your way , I used to ride my mountian
bike out there at the mountian. I will give you a call before I start
anouther build because I would like To find a smoother drive system.
The jack shaft works fine but it vibrations vary depending on your speed.
