So I have never had anything with a side bleed pipe until I got my BoXer and the morini motor.

Whats the deal with side bleed? Is it so its more quite? To fit better in some applications?

I am confused, it would seem a rear bleed would perform better but someone told me a side bleed is way better for higher rpms.

I searched online but I really cant find much about the performance of a side bleed.

I'm certainly no expert, but it occurs to me that the rear cone is reflective, sending that pressure wave back forward. There must be a low pressure zone in the middle of the chamber, where a stinger should possibly extend in to, anyway???
I think, the side bleed is just a method to put a long device on a short frame.

Good luck!
