I used to build some pretty okay gasoline DIY bikes once upon a time. I find myself winding down my short but intense affair with Ebikes and am thinking DIY again. At the moment I am thinking rhino drive with gasoline engine but I'm open to other friction drives. Since I can about half way weld these days, I'm thinking I can make most any engine hang on the back of a bike. So why not look for a reasonable weight,,, reasonable priced...4 stroke engine. Something with a horizontal shaft would be ideal for friction drive and god knows I'm all about friction drive.
