I'm slowly working my way through my first MB build and I have come to the point where I'm installing the controls. The cables that came in my BGF kit are a bit on the long side and I would like to shorten them. The clutch cable was easy, but the throttle cable has me stumped....is there as way to cut it and reinstall the tube that the throttle slide hooks to????

Buy a cable cutter at bicycle shop. It will cut cables and cable housings.
The clutch cable is no problem. The throttle cable has non-bicycle cable ends so it will require more thought.
I solved that by using an old mountain bike thumb shifter for the throttle. I used the original cable end in the carb and trimmed the cable on the thumb throttle end.
