Is it possible to climb a 16% grade with 400 TO 500 LBS with any kind of motor with one of these with out it slipping??

I don't believe that it can be done with even human legs.

If it has been done ....with what gears? and torque?

Nuvici

I should of asked at what speed ... that determine the torque...

They can't handle more than 26 gear-inches of torque (human legs). And they weigh 11lbs. The maximum torque before it starts slipping is 130Nm or 96 LbFT . One wheel revolution to one crank revolution is the lowest gear possible.

I think that unless you crawl up a hill much slower than walking, any motor will make it slip.

They just told me that in the future there may actualy be one for motor cycles...so the best bet its to tell them that you need one that a motor cycle engine can use... (with much higher torque).
