Best tire for friction drive?

I've mounted a Chicken Power motor on my wife's old hybrid bike. This bikes come with a somewhat knobby (they call it "aggressive" at the bike shop) tire. The drive wheel on the Chicken is knurled steel. Any suggestions on best match?

Any decent semi smooth or smooth tread. BTW do you know of a parts source for the chicken power?

I have none at this time, though someone suggested searching old engine websites for O & R or Orline or Ohlson and Rice as they made motors for many things of the same size ie. chainsaw, generators, etc.
