After a little bit of work I was ably to get the filter to mate up with the nt carb. The adapter was made on my lathe from a chunk of scrap stainless, would have liked aluminum but didn't have any.

The adapter has a gentle angle to the inside, and a cut out so there is a clear path for the air. After a little sanding, everything mated up and is looking good.

Took the bike out for a little ride........and write what a difference!! The sound is much throater, as well as getting a much better lower end.

So for $12 for the filter, and some scrap material I havea great looking filter that works great.

Nice work, Woogie and thanks for sharing.
Altering the intake noise of a piston ported 2 stroke can certainly make a difference in the way the bike sounds. Some have experimented with air boxes that filter but also change or muffle that pop-pop sound we associate with our engines.
Apparently your filter is working well.

Yours looks good too. Congratulations.
