My bike has a jackshaft assemby.
Before when I peddle and try to kick letting out the clucth I get squish squish not the sound of turning over the motor, 3 to 5 times before it engages my motor trying to start. Now I can't get it to turn the motor at all as if the clutch is not fully engaging. How can engage it more. Someone said butterfly Nut? where is it located and which way I need to turn it??? Any suggestions.

First, is there any slack in the clutch cable when the lever is out? (There should be a little!)

It also helps to pedal real fast & 'dump the clutch' when trying to start it!! ;)
