I've heard what Bill sez there, and according to dax its .002" top dead center.*
I'm leaning more towards Bill's appraisal. Who else has an opinion on this?
*(piston position?)

GXH50 manual says, verbatim:

IN: 0.08 ± 0.02 mm
EX: 0.11 ± 0.02 mm

Convert to inches and you get roughly .003" intake /.004" exhaust

Bill's also put more miles than almost anyone on a Huasheng, I'd trust what he says.

The .003 intake and .004 exhaust are pretty standard for four strokes of any kind.

If you get them too tight, say .002, once the engine warms up a minute or less it will hold the exhaust valve off the seat a bit. Sometimes it will run like that and burn the valve, most of the time, it will just slowly quit running.
