I remember someone having a solution to the problem with mounting a gas tank on a top tube with exposed cables running across the top of it but I can't remember what it is. I'm setting up my craigslist motor on a 16" Trek Iguana as a mule/test bike to make sure there's no problems with the motor before I build a frame for my new project. I'm looking for simple solutions because this motor is only going to be on this bike for a short time and I'm not looking buy anything for this bike.
So far everything's mounted except the gas tank and I haven't had to spend a dime on it and don't want to start now.
