I have some pieces of a pair of Stage IIIs in my toolbox, neither lasted even 300 miles. Very few here seem to have good luck with them while the rest turn into fizzled grenades.
My 4G from B-E has over 8K miles on it. It was an older model that had a wonky clutch drum, I believe since then they have taken care of that, as a replacement drum I received from them was far superior in quality. I've also been running the same belt for almost 3 years and 6K miles, still looks new!
I definitely have to recommend the 4G over the Stage III
