I'm not sure if this is a silly question but here goes. Will a multi speed hub (the one I have is a 7 speed) fit on a bike made for a coaster brake? If the bike makes a difference I'm looking at the huffy and schwinn cruiser style bikes.
Thanks
Mark

it wont fit confortably, but u can make it fit. flex the frame a little when u force it into the frame.
but with that, im not sure that the chain alignment would be all that great.

really depends on the bike. coaster hubs are wider than most single speed freewheel hubs, but i'm not sure how wide a 7 speed is.

coaster hubs are 110mm, by the way.

i do remember putting cruiser wheels on an old ten speed a long, long time ago, and the biggest problem was making the fat tires fit.

Thank you very much for the info! I'll measure my hub tomorrow see how close it is.
Thanks
