O.k. so I have had my bike runnin' like a dream and one day on my commute the engine starts to bog down really bad and then seizes up completely. I took the head off and looked down the cylinder and the piston is very firmly stuck. So now to the questions.

1) How many miles should we expect from one of these motors? (mine was a RAW 66c)

2) What should the top of the piston look like?

3) Where should I go to buy a motor only?

4) Is there an online guide to cracking my engine open to see what failed?

As always everyones help is greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

1) I have one motor well over 11,000 miles. I have had brand new engines right out of the box not make even 50yards before it seized.

2) Clean is nice but most will have some carbon deposit on it (Black looking).

3) ThatsDax sells just the motor

4) http://motorbicycling.com/f39/bicycle-engine-tear-down-391.html
1) O.K. then I will consider my self lucky I got about 2000 miles on it before it died.

2)Mine was kind of a brown-ish. This could be my problem.

3)I will look into Dax.

4)Thanks again Fair!
