Hey guys, I need to make my CDI wires longer. What kind of wire should I buy? Does any kind work, or should it be some kind of high voltage stuff? I have no clue. The wires look pretty cheap.

If you're talking about the blue and black wire, any 14 or 16 gage stranded wire will work. If you're talking about the high voltage lead (spark plug wire) then look for a metal conductor core wire, preferably copper and make it as long as you need it.
Most ignition wire sold in auto parts stores today is resistance wire. Look for a motorcycle or lawnmower shop for metallic core spark plug wire, usually sold by the foot.

You can also extend the magneto wires to meet with the CDI wires. I extend with 14 gauge both the blue and blacks. This will ensure that the blue wire does not have a cold solder joint.
