I took my head to a machine shop and had about 10 thousandths taken off (cost about 30 bucks), then got some copper sheet, had my buddy at a metal fab shop punch 1 7/8" holes in it. I cut out the outline and punched the 4 stud holes. Then I annealed the new gasket to cherry red and then into water. This takes out the tooling and makes it very plyable. I seated it down snug then took her for a short ride to heat it all up, then (slightly) retorqued it tighter. The greater surface area from the lapping combined with the copper make this a nice, no leak, higher compression upgrade.
