I have a bunch of question that i can't answer. Ive searched google and other random forums. All that info just made me more confused. i didn't know where too post this on the site. so sorry in advanced. So here is the question's.
Here is a list of random stuff for the project.
6 12volt 7ah datasafe battery's.
1 solar panel 17volt dc 50watt 7amp
12volt tow charger for a car trailer
1 voltage regulator for a mini bike that had a starter. and alternator.
I have a 12volt dc electric trailer for my bicycle. It goes around 8-15mph. and don't go that far before its dead. fast enof for me but not good enof distance.. I don't go that far before i need a recharge. Its belt driven. not freewheeled. so when i let go of gas it slows down on its own.
does that re-gen the battery??? im sure not. how can I make it re-gen?
I just got a hold of a solar panel that says its 17volt dc at 7amp. I tested it in the sun. it puts out around 14volt dc. I have 6 battery's(i only want too use 2)
But anyway. I want the solar panel to charge my battery's when i go far distance. around 15miles. Im not worried about speed. I just don't want to plug my trailer in everytime it goes dead. I have plans on makeing it tilt so it can get full charge in the sun.
I know i can buy a voltage regulator for around 50bucks. But the question is...
Can I use a car trailer tow charger to trickle charge my battery's?
or even a car's voltage regulator from the alternator???
I have million more question's...
