This is an aircraft gunnery training dome. A projector would shine images on the inside surface, and trainees would pull the trigger on a dummy gun.

I only found out about these things recently.

They should be ported better for bikes than the minimoto engines. Just make sure the thread in the nose of the crankshaft goes nice and deep if you bolt anything to it.

Here's an engine that's often forgotten, - the legendary Villiers Mk 15

The Mk15 Villiers four-cycle, overhead valve (OHV) engine was introduced in December 1953. It weighed just 48lbs. This engine also included the Villiers flywheel magneto, with the engine cooling fan mounted on the outside of the flywheel.

The engine had a 63mm bore and a 47mm stroke. The total swept volume was 147 c.c. and the engine could deliver 2.5 b.h.p. at 3,600 r.p.m and 3 b.h.p. at 3,600 r.p.m (HS Engine). It was air-cooled by fan and cowling. The engine was fitted with a Villiers B10 carburettor as standard, the air filter being of the oil wetted gauze type or oil bath. The capacity of the fuel tank was 0.5 gallons. Lubricating is by “splash”. The oil sump held one pint. It was fitted with a Lodge C14 (14 mm) spark plug.

The Mk 15 was intended for use on rotary hoes and other light agricultural equipment.

Overhead valve too in 1953, - eat your heart out Honda!

I am of the opinion that the engine needs to be a 4 stroke. I bought a Gravley model D made in 1957. It is a 500 cc and rated a 7 1/2 hp @ 3000 rpm. It will need some major modifications. I haven't done anything with it as yet, but will sooner or later. Will post pics of the engine later

mongoose bmx bike water cooled

ive just today got this thing together i kicked it over and got fire i put a wisico 52.50 mm piston and ring resurfaced the head . i may need to push start for its first run . a few months ago this bike had an air cooled yamaha enduro motor it was pretty spunky this time around i got a feelin its gonna rip

Knowledgeable men have peered at this 98cc 2 speeder and come to the conclusion it's a Villiers 6F fitted to a scooter,Sun "Geni" c1957-59. Doug Pinkerton has it in England.

RCGF 40cc, 50cc, or **60cc flat-twin with an Ecotrons 2-stroke EFI kit would be a cool twin-cylinder moped or scooter engine. 111cc and 150cc, with the same injection kit would be better for dirtbikes.
