I am looking at one of those road bikes at the thrift store. It is in such bad condition I'm not worried about losing it while I think about it. My only concern is that it has 26 x1 3/8 tires and skinny wheels. I junked out all my rear wheels for mountain bikes. I do have a lot of tires laying around but none that skinny. So can I fit a 1.75 mountain bike tire on a 1 3/8 road bike wheel.
If I buy the bike it is to put the hub motor I have on the front wheel, so I will have at least one extra tire. I am just curious.
