this is my first motorized bicycle build, but not my first two wheeled motor powered build.

im finishing up a 1978 gs550 cafe racer and restoring a 1974 honda cl125.

but im making one of these to try out, so im starting a build thread.

im starting with a cranbrook (i know i know)

heres what i started out with

cut these two pieces off, as im getting one of those long under the frame tanks, and im fibergassing a fake tank to mount over top.

painted the frame, as well as painted one of the wheels with appliance epoxy. im painting the other wheel too. im contemplating getting all black tires for a beefier wheel look.

the fake cardboard tank covered in foil

one layer of fiberglass cloth

then a layer of fiberglass mat and this is what i pulled out

sitting on the bike, need to cut it and do bondo gold body filler and lots of sanding.

flipped bars, of course, and a left over bar end mirror from my cafe build

i ordered a 47cc engine that should be here tomorrow too.
