can a 415 HD chain be used on a kit that originally came with a 410 skinny chain.and is there any reason why swapping to the larger chain would be desirable?

unless you were like wanting to go with a manic mechanic hub adapter or the like , the gears that go with them are cut specifically for the 415 chain they fit the 415 like a glove. I myself have a DID 415ER chain with the MM hub and gear and i dont think you can get much better than that. So it really just depends on what you want to do.
Putting a 415 on reagular gears will have some slop to it.
