Getting into my first build soon as the kit gets here. I am using a Trek 720 that has been hanging in the garage since about 20 pounds ago. Hoping to scoot back and forth to the train station and save some gas. I live in the northern end of Madiganistan (AKA The Democratic Peoples Republic of Illinois) and seems like there are some goofy rules, but hey, I gotta feel the wind in my face andusflg the bugs on my teeth again!

Are you anywhere neart Pittsburgh? My brother just moved there.

Anyway, I ordered a kit from luckyearlybird on ebay, should be here today or tomorrow. All ther recon I have done says replace the hardware before starting to puit the kit on the bike. I am very curious to see what kind of top end this rig has, as I intend to commute on it. Oh well, when it gets here the fumn begins!!

Here are important questions to consider when building for yourself or others:

1) What is the predominant riding terrain?
2) What type of physique does the primary rider have?
3) What will therider's local laws allow them to have?
(Lookup and personally read these laws.)
4) What kind of bike is being motorized?
5) What is the bike to be used for?
6) How much of a budget is to be used for the build?

Seek the answers to these questions in order to get the most out of the bike you're building. We're here to help with any questions you may have. Good luck with your build.
