I building a bike for a friend.. These drive sprockets really need some imrovment ...
1st I know my chain is alligned
2nd when its kinda of loose it better then tight
3rd when its tight not too tight it acts like it want to come off the drive chain sprocket
4th I have my chain tensioner on the top. Does this matter. The frame is round , it seems to be a better fit..

I think its the cheap chain that came with the kit..Gt5 66cc.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated thx.. Your friend. Flounder

The chain teinsoner will run smoother on the bottom. There is potentially too much stress on the load side. They work better on the side with no load on it.

Well i moved the tensioner and inspected the drive sprocket.. It looks like the teeth are not true.. Im going to have to the remove sprocket and file them down tomorrow...Oh well what can ya do.. As a rule of thumb, should every sprocket of the bike be dressed prior to installing?

The tips of the teeth commonly need to be thinned a bit to allow the chain to go over the sprocket correctly. Thinned on the inboard and outboard faces of the sprocket, not in the valleys.
