Default Urethane Roller vs roller skate wheel? Friction Drive.

Just caught this from an older thread but saw no mentions...

I have a staton friction and wondered if anyone bought one to see if it fits?
This is mainly concerning the wet ground I often run into. The one I use currently is a knurled 1.5 - 2" roller.. I was wondering if this poly would be better or even perhaps the metal tooth ones shown here?

I've used polyvinyl and urethane rollers and they slip in the wet just as much if not more than steel. The only material that slips less when wet is stone aggregate, IE: grind stones, they accelerate tire wear considerably of course especially if left on when it dries out.

lol, nothing like conflicting results to brighten my day. I had to ask is all. Working on my GEBE at the moment.. The mounting bracket I am told must be 14" from the axle. Thanks for the reply about the grinding stone Happy. Sounds plausible. GLTA that seek this info.

Thank you. I might give one a whirl. Will one of these fit on my Staton kit?

Here are links to parts that fit on the shaft. It is off in storage and will beed to get it for a picture. I think 5/8" is the thickness though.

That sounds like a good investment for a friction kit. I was seeing much better MPG usage from Friction over belt so far. Might start a new thread now.. hmmm
